Warehouse Management Systems in More Demand

The pandemic has shown that companies need better warehouse management systems, but the pandemic has also disrupted the traditional way that companies acquire new systems, reports Supply Chain Dive.

Before the coronavirus pandemic, many retailers saw warehouse management systems (WMS) as an important investment area. The State of Retailing Online 2020 report from the National Retail Federation and Forrester found 73% of retailers are investing in WMS.

Electronics Supply Chain Slows Down

Slowed by the global pandemic the electronics supply chain is now facing slow downs due to a trade war, reports Supply Chain Dive. 

This year has been an uphill battle for the electronics sector. A March McKinsey study cautioned that electronics companies could stock out by April due to coronavirus-driven factory shutdowns in China and extended lead times.
