ASOS Loses Sales Due to Inventory Glitch
Fashion company ASOS suffered a technical glitch while upgrading its warehouse technology, reports Supply Chain Dive. As a result it lost about $25 million in sales due to the new automated storage and retrieval system failing to accurately report inventory.
The CEO explained the automated elements of the company's warehouse management system and its warehouse control system caused inventory available to customers to decrease significantly
