Restaurants Seek to Eliminate Food Waste

According to Restaurant Technology, restaurants are searching for technology investments that they can make to help them fight food waste in their supply chain.

Every year, roughly 63 million tons of food waste is sent to landfill in America, and with costs of around $218 billion to grow, process, transport, and subsequently dispose of that organic produce, it’s an expensive habit that needs to change.

New York Gives Supply Chains a Boost

New York is providing funding to organizations that provide critical services during the pandemic, including those that keep the PPE supply chain functioning,  reports Niagara Frontiers Publications.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced $2.3 million in federal CARES Act funding for four organizations to provide critical services to small and mid-sized manufacturers as they adapt to changing market conditions amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
